Kern River Campground Reservations: Sitting within Sequoia National Forest, Campground is a beautiful place situated along the Kern River; it is 6 miles north of the town of Kernville. Elevations in the forest range vary from 1,000 to 12,000 feet which creates precipitous canyons and mountain streams. It is home to several spectacular waterfalls which includes Salmon Creek Falls and Grizzly Falls. There are several nearby attractions.

The campground offers standard, RV and tent-only sites which include picnic tables, campfire rings, vault toilets, and drinking water. The tent site facilities are operated by Sequoia Recreation, a division of California Land Management. Six people are lowed to stay per site. On weekends, Labor Day, Memorial Day, and 4th of July, an additional $2 per day fee is charged for stays.
$7 additional vehicle fee per night is charged for the second vehicle in each single family campsite and on the 3rd and 4th vehicle for a double family campsite. In the case of motorcycles, two bikes are considered one vehicle. There is no fee for bicycles. Off-road vehicles are not allowed to be used in the campground.
